Women Development Cell
Introduction:
The Women Development Cell was established in the university by of Mumbai in the year 2001.
It was a landmark achievement of the university Mumbai for the implementation of policies of women empowerment.
Mumbai University along with other colleges has created gender sensitive campus.
The university has directed all the colleges and institutions to set up college internal committees to prevent gender discrimination, sexual harassment and to promote gender
equity campus. Women Development Cell was established in our college with the same objectives.

Aims and objectives:
- To create awareness about gender sensitization, women’s rights.
- To promote general wellbeing of students, teaching staff, support staff.
- Awareness about different opportunities to empower women.
- To sensitize students towards special needs of all the genders.
- To address the concerns of gender discrimination and recommend measures for gender parity.
- To undertake surveys and various research projects pertaining to women in the society.
- To conduct gender audit on regular basis.
