• Special Programmes

The special programmes offer students an opportunity to enjoy and experience a variety of engagements that lead to their overall growth preparing them for the real world.

  • Special Days:
Each grade takes a turn to perform in the Multipurpose Hall every month. These events enable children to experience the thrill of performing before an audience and provide a platform to develop their confidence and personality.
  • Field trips:
Our teaching methods are inquiry-based and therefore learning extends outside the homerooms to support the Units of Inquiry. Students go on varied and stimulating trips that tap their knowledge and interest.
  • PYP Exhibition:
The PYP Exhibition is the culminating personal project of a PYP student at the end of the Grade V programme. It is an original and self-generated inquiry on a local issue that is selected from any one transdisciplinary theme. A PYP Exhibition aims to bring together all that the student has learnt and acquired in terms of learning of skills, attitudes and the learner profile over the PYP years at school.
  • Parent-Information Mornings (PIM):
The Parent-Information Mornings at school aim to inform parents about the philosophy and pedagogy of the IBO / IGCSE / IBDP and keep the parent community in the loop all the time as part of our school community.
  • Student-Led Conference:
The Student-Led Conference is a discussion between the HSI student and his parent, about the development of the PYP Learner Profile through the academic, co-curricular and extra-curricular programme at school. This is an important reflective tool which requires the child to examine his/her development as a local citizen and a responsible global participant in an honest and authentic way.
  • Creative Action Service (CAS):
During the year all students participate in a Social Service Programme. It helps to sensitize students to the less privileged members of society. This involves students interacting with children from the Balvadi, Asha Daan, Spastic Society of India and other NGO Organistions.
  • Newsletter:
The school newsletter "HSI Impressions" is released periodically. Impressions is a medium that enables recognition and celebration of students successes in and outside school through their contributions.
